Like most online social tools, Twitter is slowly creeping its way into our little corner of Louisiana. Like MySpace and Facebook, people are hearing about it then reluctantly giving it a try.
Have you been asking the question "what the heck is Twitter?"
More often than not, the question leads to action and before long the curious are tip-toeing into the mysterious waters of the twitterverse.
And there you'll find this sites purpose. The L.C. Twitizens site is simply here to warm up the water for you, so your first dip in the pool with your fellow twitizens is a fun and eventually useful experience.

Tweeting is easy. The first thing you'll need is a Twitter account. It's free and takes very little effort to set up. You'll find that Twitter's philosophy is one of simplicity, so don't expect a lot of complicated applications and plug-ins. It's as easy as setting up your email. It might even be easier.
