Desktop Applications

This app is becoming a fave in the Lake Charles Twitter community. With upgrades almost weekly, Seesmic should cover all of your tweeting needs.
Following a long list of twitizens? Tired of scrolling through your global pals to see what your local buddies are posting? Then TweetDeck is the app for you. All the features of twhirl, but with organizational features to help filter all the chirps to your taste.

This application is very clean and really simple to use. It sits right on your desktop and gives you all the features you'd want in a lean and mean twitter app.

TweetDeck
This app is very quickly becoming a staple for serious Twitter users. It's heavy on features and 100% customizable.

digsby
If you want to have all of your social media tools feeding into one app, then digsby may be the tool for you.
A lite application with a lot of power, digsby allows users to have their facebook, twitter, gmail, yahoo, outlook and many others all feeding into one place. Have multiple accounts? Digsby can handle that to. Maybe not the best all around app for twittering, but still handy for the average user.
Features include:
- One combined buddy list for all your AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Google Talk, Jabber, and Facebook Chat Accounts.

Mobile Applications
TwitterFon
TwitterFon is a simple, clean, easy to use, and super fast Twitter client for your iPhone and iPod Touch. By far one of, it not the best FREE Twitter apps for the iPhone.
TwitterFon is focused on 80% of your task of Twitter such as check friends/replies timeline, check direct messages, send a reply and/or a direct message, and search. It also focused on easy to use. It has very clean user interface, very fast response and scrolling. You don't need any hassle.

- Tweet, reply, direct message, re-tweet, GPS post and TwitPic all from the same application
- Easy navigation
- Very stable
MOtwit
Not much to mention in the way of features or style, but if all you're looking for is a simple way to post your tweets then this app does the trick. As easy as sending a text, it allows you to send your tweets as fast your connection will allow. There aren't currently many applications for the palm line of mobiel phones, so if you're looking to twitter then this is pretty close to it.

Browser Applications
twitbin
This lean little FireFox plug-in is great. It has a simple, clean user interface and all of the basic tweeting tools you'll need. It doesn't support mulitple accounts, but for that shouldn't matter for the single account user. It's perfect for shooting of a quick tweet and following up on links sent to you by your friends, right inside the FireFox browser.
